hey!

I'm a site reliability engineer and software engineer with a focus on web technologies and cloud-native computing. I do stuff mostly with Go, Typescript, Containers, and Kubernetes. Apart from that, I like pizza, espresso, and beautiful typefaces (Like the one you're looking at).

Current Work & Projects

I got my master's degree in computer science at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Aside from that, I've been working on several projects, mostly open-source software:

Past Work

In the past I've worked, both academically and professionally, on

  • writing my Master's Thesis on leveraging IPFIX's more elaborate data types and features for better network security monitoring and forensics,
  • Writing a seminar paper on “Methods for DevOps & Site Reliability Engineers” (slides),
  • Frontend projects on several ends, adoption of GitOps for Kubernetes, and Cloud advancement at anny,
  • designing, writing, and maintaining software from start to finish for space6, recycled e-ink displays that tightly integrate into the anny bookings software,
  • Building a new website and CMS for Eventbuddy,
  • Doing distributed data processing Kubernetes Operators (and wrote a bachelor's thesis about it),
  • Writing another paper, this time about about shardable byzantine fault-tolerant blockchain architecture (in 2018, before crypto took off),
  • a go cli and tooling plus LaTeX class for making university homework assignments more convenient (https://github.com/zoomoid/assignments)
  • Other bits and bobs of open-source projects, available on Github.
